Sorry, forgot to blog after making these on Thursday! I am still in the cereal section and so used Wheaties for this recipe. Instead of being in the batter, you use the cereal, mashed up, to coat the dough balls before baking. Also, you put half a maraschino cherry in the middle which is what gives it the "cherry" part of its name. The recipe did not make lots of cookies which was fine since these were just okay to me. I probably would not make them again. The funny thing is, the best cereal to make cookies with is cornflakes and there are no recipes for that combination. Tomorrow I move to Coco Puffs.........
